Every Saturday we get up bright and early and head out to the market. We get there early and unpack our truck. We take out two of our price computing scales, four long tables, tons of baskets, lots of paper and pens, a ez-up shelter to protect us from the elements, fold up chairs. Our scales need to perform every day. They have to be reliable and stand up to various conditions. It might be sunny and 95 one day, while a few weeks from now it might be drizzling and 40 degrees. The scale has to work because we depend on it to tell us and the customer how much the produce they buy costs per pound. We get our scales checked once a year by the local scale company. They put weight on the scale and calibrate it if needed. The built in rechargeable battery is a great feature and it’s a must have for us.
